Are dreams real?

Premonitions

I had a dream yesterday. I was in the green monster (a county jail in Newark, NJ) for a week. Basically, as I was leaving, I was given a 30 million dollar settlement, and a bank account number… in Sierra Leone?

I asked, “what’s this for?” The C.O. replied: “you’ve been infected.” I think I had Chromes Disease or some nonsense, don’t recall. Anyways, I remember being happy as heck leaving the jail, trying to cash out as soon as possible.

A little longer into the dream, I realized that I had to take LONG rests (like people with auto immune disease) due to my condition. I remember being puzzled about how easily 30 million dollars were just handed out.

Anyhow, I woke up, and started … to think… hmm… maybe I should write a Medium article about … whether we can put a price on health. You know what, I’ll hire that private yoga teacher, because I need to stay healthy, there’s no price on health.

Then, I contacted my contractor. He was supposed to install a gym cable extension on the wall. His brother responded in his stead. I found out that he was shot 7 times, while visiting some ghetto chick in the worst part of the Dominican Republic, by unknown assailants in motorcycles. By the way, the ghetto in the Dominican Republic is not like the ghetto in the U.S., houses are literally made of scrap metal.

(I will complete this section of the article by saying good things about Christopher and my experiences with him).

I’m not sure if this dream was a premonition, or not, that my contractor would die. But it sure was trippy. 24 years old, his entire life ahead of him, and all that terminated because he put himself at risk.

I gave the family my condolences.

I will contact the news, to defend Christopher’s honor. Implications are being made, that he was involved in some illegal shit. That guy just worked, and he worked a LOT. From my life experience, I noticed that people making that illegal money don’t have time to dedicate so many hours to installing mosquito nets or whatnot. They either get lazy, or move onto some big business. Also, the way he negotiated prices with me did not indicate that he was involved in anything illegal at all. He was, like his parents described, a serious youth who was ambitious.

Anyhow, this entire experience makes me question whether there is more to life than we can see, and whether dreams have a predictive … quality. I will investigate further, (perhaps I can use it to pick stocks?), but, for now, I will bill.

I apologize if my medium articles are all over the place, but I am writing more to organize my thoughts and for my own learning. Maybe one day I’ll organize it.
