Macro Micro Goals Reassessment (May 25, 2022)

My tentative plans on how I plan to win!

In the first quarter of this year, I spent 3 months doing a deep dive into JavaScript while slowly developing my UpWork. This drained my finances significantly, as no money was coming in while I spent money like a fool. I have changed my strategy slightly. I, basically, will build 3 cash flow businesses (one of them being based on a freelance platform) to finance a longer-term SEO/SMM/Web Dev business targeting a very specific niche. There’s a lot of work to do, there’s a lot of work to do.

Macro Stuff

  1. Finish Current Contract (Translate Dive Into Design Patterns): I am currently translating a programming book by Alexander Shvets called “Dive Into Design Patterns.” During this time, I will put a solid 30minutes to 1 hour into #2 a day, after billing 8 hours a day.
  2. Build two off-platform laravel based cash flow language tutoring businesses: I am completing a website I’ve built the basics of (using freelance work), with approximately 4-7% of the money paid from above. These two websites will teach English to Korean folks, and am cloning that site to build another that teaches Korean to English speaking folks. I will run Instagram ads, to offer free sample lessons then accept Paypal and stripe via a Laravel based platform.

>> Free lessons and courses will be offered for me to try something called e-mail marketing (backend sales). Like Russ Brunson says, I may be paraphrasing it: “no one makes money from their front-end, everyone makes money from their back-end.” E-mail marketing is how Alex Becker made his first million, and I have a good platform to try this method out. I will talk to my developers about mailchimp integration and creating landing pages.

  1. Solidify UpWork with an online translator’s certificate and a cheap WordPress hosted website. ($2.95/month). After I become the official translator for the book “Dive Into Design Patterns,” I will use funds generated from #2 to take a quick translator’s certificate from a Korean accreditation agency for translator while hosting a quick website.
  2. At the same time, buy a script from codecanyon for a LMS (Learning Management System) and install/customize it so I can sell $10.99 to $300 courses for #2. (Eventually, we will switch to a more powerful platform).
  3. Further solidify UpWork with a CIS JavaScript Certificate: I will finish my JavaScript certificate then take the mock exam. I will invest now in a “learning by doing” book, then build some more projects while I dive in deeper into theory. I already have a mock exam course, which expires in 8 months, so I better get to it.
  4. Use money from (1) UpWork, (2) language site #1, (3) language site #2 to roll money into legalmodemarketing.com, a SEO/Web Dev/SMM/Content Strategy site for attorneys only: Once all of above has been solidified, I will use earned income generated from all of above to create a longer-term business. The domain has already been purchased for 10 years.
  5. While #5 is under development I will:
  • Do a deep dive into Laravel and become certified in that
  • Get some free Google SEO Certificates
  • Run a small amount of ads

Behavioral (Micro) Stuff

Here are some things I should fix in order to be successful:

  • Find my sarchadian(?) sleep rhythm, like Alex Becker suggests, and get a routine going.
  • Exercise more regularly, especially stretching.
  • Switch to powdered foods, to keep a constant balance of energy while I work. (Already on the way).

Fun Stuff

  • My car should be done soon. I just need to be patient. It’s a BMW 530i M Sport with lambo doors.
  • Once it’s done, I will get some professional photos done (or have my chef take them with my good camera), then run paid-traffic ads on Tinder (“boosters”) to find dates. I look forward to it.
  • I’ll invest in some UpWork stock. Once the war in Ukraine/Russia is over, the stock should take off.

Caution:

  • Dig in deep into one traffic source, one income source, one funnel. Don’t try to spread out too thin. (Group the earned income stuff into one, (let’s say UpWork and language tutoring), then find a long term business (pick one), and dive in deep until it’s generating $15k a month.

I apologize if my medium articles are all over the place, but I am writing more to organize my thoughts and for my own learning. Maybe one day I’ll organize it.
