What to do when you’ve got a headache in the morning and don’t want to work (Nightmare Mode #3)

This quick fixed saved my day today.

So I woke up, after sleeping a solid 6 hours, eager to work. I sat down on the desk. I started working. After 40 minutes, the headaches started to come in. I thought to myself, “maybe my body’s waking up.” After my willpower battery drained fighting this headache, I decided to go back to sleep. Before I did that, I thought I would do an experiment:

What if I did two sprint laps? It may wake me up, or at least I’d sleep better.”

I did two sprint laps, full effort, full sprint. After fake-vomiting a few times, exhausted, I took a cold shower and I’m so alert you wouldn’t believe.

Oh, and it took me exactly 49 minutes to get out of my desk, do two sprint laps, do a cold shower, run the washing machine, and write this article in its entirety. I measured it. So it doesn’t take away from your billing.

It’s NOT that I LIKE to work-out, it’s just that I consider certain workouts essential tools to get more done in life and achieve my goals.

Here are a few more tips that if I didn’t share them with you, it’d just be wrong:

  1. Wear knee supports and ankle supports:

I have a somewhat bad left knee, and I don’t wear expensive running shoes. So after running, I sometimes experienced knee pain the next day. When I decided to live the “Nightmare Mode” lifestyle, putting a lot of hours of work in to, crudely put, become rich, I bought some knee pads and compression ankle socks.

Honestly, I can’t believe I didn’t think about these before. I have ZERO knee or ankle pain after any kind of running, AND I RUN FASTER!

I said “few more tips” but I only have this one tip for you. Hah. I lied. Anyways, if you feel groggy in the morning, try doing two sprint laps with knee compression supports and ankle compression support socks. Find the best one on Amazon or whatever. I forget what brand I use.
